Tammy Girl makes a comeback with cargos, platforms and other 90s favourites

Women of a certain age will remember a time when Tammy Girl was the place to shop.

From cargo pants to ribbed cropped tops, Etam's little sister was a fashion favourite with teens and tweens.

Decades later, with girls that age now wearing what their mums wore back in the 90s and early 2000s, the brand is back, this time on ASOS, and proving a huge hit with shoppers.

Tammy Girl on ASOS (ASOS)

Manchester-based digital fashion giant Daisy Street announced the re-launch of Tammy Girl last year, 17 years after the British high street chain originally closed down in 2005.

There are currently 99 items listed in the range, including dresses, crop tops, midi skirts and more.

Of course there are platform shoes aplenty, like these black wedge platform boots with a high block heel. And the inflatable bubble bag, in purple or grey, is proving just as popular as it once was.

As well as featuring the iconic Tammy Girl logo, the £24 bag comes with a pump, allowing for more discreet inflation than was often the case back in the day.

The fashion conscious Gen Z customer is catered for too, with some of the items drawing inspiration from the Y2K era, with ribbed crop tops, layered fishnet vets, babydoll dresses and matching co-ords.

All the online clothes come in women's sizes, starting from size 6, so while the target audience is generally older than was the case with Tammy Girl, it's quickly become a go-to for teens wanting to recapture that 90s look.

The collection can be found on the ASOS website.
