Emergency services are at the scene of a collision near the Tallaght bypass tonight with the road closed to traffic.
The incident is at the junction with the R136, known locally as the Old Cheeverstown Road. Dublin Live understands that the collision is "serious" with gardai on scene.
Local diversions are currently in place. There is currently no information available on how many vehicles or people were involved.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident near the N81 Tallaght Bypass. Local diversions are in place. No further information available at this time."
