TalkSPORT’s Laura Woods slams troll who asked if she has sex with Adebayo Akinfenwa

TalkSPORT ’s Laura Woods savagely slammed a troll who asked if she has sex with footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa.

The 34-year-old presenter previously hosted the Super 6 podcast with the Wycombe Wanderers striker, and was accused of sleeping with the sportsman in a lengthy thread on Twitter.

Laura was defending herself on social media after some viewers alleged she was taking drugs during the livestreamed talkSport breakfast show earlier this week, as she ducked out of shot for a few seconds.

Accused by one follower of “sniffing a line”, Laura fired back and revealed she had in fact been trying to disguise a yawn, as it was an early morning show.

“Bloody hell…I’m yawning you absolute donuts. It’s a live-streamed breakfast show. Give your heads a wobble,” she tweeted.

She was praised by her fans for her response, but one follower decided to ask her a crude question.

“Is it true about you s*****g akinfenwa ???” they wrote, prompting Laura to reply with a hilarious comeback: “I waited, but he was too busy with your mother.”

Her fans were left in stitches after the fiery response, and they applauded the Sky Sports presenter for her “savage” reply.

“Poor boy just got slapped on twitter and he was sorted with ease,” one wrote.

“Amazing if Laura Woods couldn't get any better,” another added.

“You were always one of my favourite pundits/hosts but now you've blown the rest out of the water,” one fan tweeted.

“Gold standard burn,” another quipped.

Footballer Akinfenwa even waded into the Twitter row, as he praised his former podcast co-host for her sense of humour.

“LW is to quick for u (sic),” he tweeted, along with several laughing emojis.

Laura received support from hundreds of fans after she was wrongly accused of taking drugs, as one of her followers said the comments highlighted just how hard it is to be in the spotlight.

“It’s amazing how quickly something as innocent as a yawn can be turned into something far worse. and with a camera on you, I am sure people would still moan about a yawn live. People always find something to bring someone else down to their level,” they fired.
