Michigan State basketball suffered a tough loss in the semi-finals of the Maui Invitational on Tuesday evening.
The Spartans came up short in a close game against Memphis on Tuesday. Michigan State trailed most of the way but was in striking distance in the final minutes before the Tigers iced it away.
This loss to Memphis snapped a three-game winning streak and drops Michigan State to 5-2 overall on the year. The Spartans will now face North Carolina in the third-place game on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
