Swing king siblings from Perthshire have been teed-up to achieve more success thanks to a new sponsorship deal.
Rising stars Gregor Graham (19) and Connor Graham (16), both Blairgowrie Golf Club members, have teamed up with Clayton Caravan Park Limited.
Based near St Andrews and one of the largest holiday parks in the country, they will be the pair’s principal sponsor for the upcoming golf season.
Gregor and Connor are both already Scottish international golfers having been selected for the Scotland men’s teams during 2022 and are currently in the men’s and boys’ performance squads for next year.
And they may become the first brothers to represent Scotland in the Men’s Home Internationals during 2023.
Both talented players have enjoyed significant success on the course in recent years and are tipped for more.
Gregor, who spent time across the pond on a golf scholarship, won three times in the US and then won the Dutch U21 Championships. That earned him an invite to play in a Challenge Tour event in Belgium.
Forever-improving Connor, meanwhile, has nailed down a plethora of top honours and has also represented Great Britain and Ireland. A highlight was winning the prestigious R&A Junior Open Championship by five shots at Monifieth earlier this year.
Gregor and Connor will now carry the Clayton logo on their golf bags for what promises to be a packed schedule of events, both home and abroad.
For Gregor, his season will tee-off in South Africa in February while away with the Scottish Men’s Performance Squad for five weeks.
Connor will be playing in the Portuguese Amateur in February and then the Spanish Amateur in March.
After that, there will be many major amateur events both boys will be playing in, with an eye on trying to be selected for the various different Scottish and GB&I team matches.
Managing director of Clayton Caravan Park Limited, Andrew Kennedy, said: “We are delighted to be able to support local sporting talent like Gregor and Connor.
“They both work incredibly hard with the support of their family and hopefully this deal can go some way to help them achieve their golfing ambitions for the season.”
Gregor and Connor’s dad Stuart – a very handy golfer himself – was grateful to Clayton Caravan Park Limited for their support.
“Since the age of three the boys have been playing golf, loving the challenge of competing and trying to improve,” he explained.
“They have dedicated themselves to trying to be the best they can be.
“Both playing off +5 handicaps is an achievement in itself, but they both have hefty goals and what they want to achieve not just as amateurs but professionals also.
“The cost of reaching these goals is extremely high so the support of Clayton is just fantastic and very much appreciated.
“The boys are delighted with their new bags from Titleist and they will carry the Clayton logo with them up and down the fairways next year.”
