Takeaways from Eagles’ LB Nakobe Dean potentially missing multiple weeks with a foot injury

The Eagles will be without linebacker Nakobe Dean for multiple weeks after the second-year star suffered a foot injury in the Week 1 win over the Patriots.

Dean had seven tackles in the Eagles season opening win over New England and Howie Roseman has already made moves to add depth per Adam Schefter.

Morrow is on the Eagles practice squad and with Philadelphia playing on Thursday night, GM Howie Roseman will likely sign or elevate the former Bears linebacker, while looking to add more talent at the position.

Fears of Dean being undersized

Dean is athletic, he’s smart, and very physical, but the former Georgia All-American is an undersized middle linebacker and Sunday’s interview was among the initial fears and concerns that caused his drop in the draft.

With Dean out, Philadelphia will start Christian Elliss and Zach Cunningham at the linebacker spots, while Morrow will likely be elevated. Philadelphia could also play light, and move Terrell Edmunds to the STAR position, or DIME linebacker spot.
