The Eagles and Browns first of two joint practices sessions got underway on Thursday under the backdrop of the NFL, NFLPA, and quarterback Deshaun Watson agreeing to an updated suspension that consists of 11 games missed and a $5 million fine.
Both teams had success on the day, but the first day was split up and consisted of the Eagles’ defense joining the Browns’ offense on one field and vice versa for Philadelphia’s offense and Cleveland’s defense.
Wow. Jalen Hurts rolls to his *left*, looks up and throws across his body downfield to A.J. Brown. That was a very difficult throw, but Hurts saw a window and executed. Ronnie Harrison was in coverage.

Both teams will get together on Friday for day two of joint sessions before a day off on Saturday and the second preseason matchup on Sunday afternoon.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett took most of the first teamwork for Cleveland, while DeVonta Smith returned in full pads and made his presence felt immediately.
DeVonta Smith is back
The 2021 first-round pick got off to a fast start and looks the part in year two.
#Eagles DeVonta Smith caught everything thrown his way during 1v1 routes. Just cooked A.J. Green. Mix of deep, short, and intermediate routes. Smith shows off perfect body control again as he hails in a tough reception near the sideline. He tapped the toes too. Ball from Hurts.

Jalen Hurts locked in
Holy smokes. #Eagles start off joint practices red hot.
A.J. Brown with a diving one-handed grab for touchdown vs. Greedy Williams. Very next run, DeVonta Smith cooks Martin Emerson

Hurts got off the plane smoking hot, and even after a few missed throws, the Eagles star looked the part during 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills.
Jalen Hurts Training Camp Stats Day 13 (Day 1 v Browns)
16/21, 0 TD, 0 INT
Really good day for him. The passing offense looked best it has all camp.
I’d give him an A- just because no TDs but this was def a step in right direction #Eagles

Reid Sinnett/Gardner Minshew continue turnovers
Both players had their moments, and we’re still awaiting Carson Strong.
Reid Sinnett throws a pick, and the Browns let the Eagles know with a big celebration in the end zone. As i’m typing this, Minshew throws another. Hurts winning the day, but Second- and third-team offense has been sloppy

Myles Garrett dealing with family
Cleveland’s star pass rusher could be away the entire week as he tends to family.
#Browns Myles Garrett has been at the side of a close family who's gravely ill, & who's condition had worsened. He's on his way back to CLE and will be back on the field in a day or two. The Browns have given him all the time he needs, which he appreciates

Landon Dickerson dances on the Browns
Thursday was pancake central for Dickerson, who returned to the lineup after missing the preseason opener and returned to his dominant form.
Landon Dickerson just obliterated Sione Takitaki. 🥞
He then danced. Don’t see OL dancing often.
