Eagles fans invaded FedEx Field, and the road team looked dominant while moving to 3-0 on the season after defeating the Commanders 24-8 on Sunday.
Washington quarterback and former Eagles No. 2 overall pick Carson Wentz was sacked nine times on the afternoon.
Here are several takeaways from the Week 3 win.
Eagles have to improve offense in second half
For the second straight week, Philadelphia was average on offense in the second half, and after building a considerable lead against Washington in the first half, the Eagles didn’t score.
The shock and awe of the first half may work against average opponents, but the Birds can’t afford 30-minute scoring droughts against the top teams in the NFC.
DeVonta Smith YAC monster
The ‘Slim Reaper’ is turning into a YAC Monster, and on Sunday, Smith caught all eight of his catchable targets for 169 yards and a touchdown.
On six of those plays, Smith amassed 69 yards after the catch and came away with four explosive plays of 15 or more yards per PFF.
Jordan Davis more than a run stuffer
Davis will grow into a game wrecker, and against the Commanders, he notched three hurries and a batted pass from 13 pass-rush snaps and added two solo tackles against the Washington rushing attack.
Jalen Hurts MVP?
His odds will continue to grow, and although he may not have the arm talent of Justin Herbert or Patrick Mahomes, Hurts has played better than any quarterback on the planet thus far.

Eagles 3-0 start is rare for franchise
Philadelphia is 3-0 for the 10th time in franchise history (first time since 2016). The Eagles have also won each of their first two road games of the season for the first time since 2010.
Since 2017, the Eagles are 9-2 record vs. Washington, including a 5-1 mark at FedExField. The Eagles have won each of the last three games in the series.
