Takeaway mocks Facebook with 'passive aggressive' job ad for 'non-human'

Staff at a takeaway have posted a 'passive aggressive' job advert for a 'non-human' who can 'speak Klingon' after their first post fell foul of Facebook's rules.

Peckish Roast Chicken is currently in need of a full-time manager and put out an advert for the £25,000 a year position, but soon their post was deleted from social media.

A member of staff then wrote a follow-up advert explaining their initial post was deleted due to 'discrimination', but they seemed confused as to why.

So they wrote a sassy second post explaining they would hire anyone, even a 'non-human', and said that speaking the language from Star Trek would be a bonus, but was not an essential requirement.

The advert for the job, based in Deal, Kent, reads: "Our previous post was rejected for being discriminatory (?!).

"So here is a re-worded version, hopefully, this will cover it.

"£25K + full-time manager human being from any orientation or background required.

"Non-humans welcome to apply. 12.30-20.30 rolling five day week.

They got some funny replies (Peckish)

"Experience in catering management, reliability and communication ability would be a major plus.

"We would also welcome the ability to speak Klingon, but to be clear, this is not a requirement, and we won’t discriminate against you if you can’t."

Customer Edwina Russell joked: "Learning Klingon on Duolingo, will be in touch."

Then Paul Lefford added: "You say non-humans are welcome to apply, but it feels a bit passive aggressive. As if (you're saying) 'send in your CV, but don't hold your breath if you don't have opposable thumbs'."

"What about a chicken?" Joked another fan, and soon someone replied: "May end up on the menu."
