With the opening of the Irene Pool Villa Resort in time for summer, vacationers considering a trip to Koh Lipe now have another choice to indulge in a luxurious vacation experience. It is situated in the Tarutao National Marine Park along Malaysia's Andaman Sea border.
This brand-new resort accommodates 16 elegant tropical-style pool villas and guests can take in the breathtaking views of the immaculate Sunrise Beach, which was named the most beautiful beach in Thailand and the top sixth among the World's 20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the Daily Star's survey, from their beds and balconies.
There are three different types of villas with sizes ranging from 110m² to 138m². Each has a private outdoor swimming pool to provide guests with privacy and seclusion. The second phase, which includes a collection of 41 additional rooms, is slated to open in the fourth quarter. The resort offers vantage points to view sunrise and sunset over the Andaman Sea and is conveniently close to Pattaya and Hat Chao Le. During the day, guests can enjoy outdoor activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving and kayaking at the nearby dive sites of 8 Mile Rocks and the Yong Hua Shipwreck, which is famous for its beautiful coral reef and crystal-clear blue waters.
The beachside restaurant Bok e'tto offers à la carte dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner that are influenced by Western dishes including tapas, pizza, meat and seafood as well as Japanese, Asia, and Mediterranean cuisines.
With several ways of travelling, the resort has its own reception lounge from where a speedboat can take visitors to Koh Lipe on a 90-minute journey. There are public ferry services that also operate from Phuket and Langkawi. A private seaplane service will soon be available from Phuket International Airport, landing just off the beach in front of the resort.
