Ange Postecoglou's agents have reportedly urged Tottenham chiefs to "take a punt" on the current Celtic boss.
Speculation is rife over an official approach being readied for after Saturday's Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Inverness.
It's claimed Spurs have identified Postecoglou as a preferred candidate to take over at the club but have delayed an approach as Celtic look to claim a historic eighth domestic treble.
However, the Daily Mail claim Postecoglou's agents - who are close to Daniel Levy - have reportedly appealed to offer the Celtic boss the job.
It was previously reported that Celtic chiefs wouldn't block a potential move to Spurs for Postecoglou with some outlets claiming a new manager search at Celtic is beginning.
But Postecoglou last night insisted he hasn't spoken to his reps about the speculation and his full focus remains on the clash with Inverness at Hampden tomorrow.
Asked by daily newspaper journalists over the situation with Spurs' interest, Postecoglou replied: “It’s of interest to people and that’s understandable, but it’s just not in my world.
"It’s not the first time it has happened this year and I have been pretty consistent in making people understand what I am about and what I am like.
"I’ve got too big a game on Saturday for this football club to be contemplating any matter other than us being ready for Saturday.
"Within here there is no talk about it. I get it there is more in your work space. You think, ‘jeez, it’s everywhere.’
"In here we are talking about Saturday and talking about being ready and training and making sure we have an opportunity to do something special in terms of our season.
"It doesn’t penetrate. It’s not as distracting as people may think it is. Obviously I have to address questions from the outside, but internally it’s not like people are walking around thinking about anything other than being ready for Saturday."
And quizzed on what he has told his own personal representatives?
“They know better than to ask me anything this week mate," said Postecoglou. "Let me tell you. They know me very well. They wouldn’t dare ask me about anything.”
