By now, you know that the field turf inside Ohio Stadium — the venerable ‘Shoe — is being replaced. According to many, it was well past time as we watched the colors on the field fade over time and some players lose their footing.
As those observations were made during the season last year, the fine folks at Ohio State confirmed that new turf would go in during the offseason and that input would be taken from fans on the new design.
Bonus!
The winning design was announced, and we must say, it’s a typical classic look without going too crazy. Fine by us, because Ohio State is a brand in and of its own and there’s no reason to go with a crazy color design to separate the program.
