Taiwan Earthquake Update: Death Toll Rises To Nine

Bodies of mother and baby found as death toll from Odesa drone attack rises

An earthquake that struck Taiwan on Wednesday has resulted in a tragic death toll of nine individuals, with 882 people reported injured, according to Taiwan's National Fire Agency (NFA). The severity of the injuries has not been specified by the NFA at this time.

Currently, 131 individuals are trapped following the earthquake. Among them are 50 employees of the Silks Place Hotel Taroko, who were traveling in four minibuses when the disaster struck. Authorities have been unable to establish contact with them via phone and have classified them as trapped until further notice.

On a positive note, two German citizens who were previously trapped in a tunnel in Hualien County have been successfully rescued, as confirmed by the NFA.

The earthquake has caused significant devastation and has left many families and communities in distress. Rescue efforts are ongoing to reach those who are trapped and provide assistance to the injured.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones during this difficult time. We hope for a swift and effective response to the aftermath of this natural disaster.
