Canberra's Tahalianna Soward-Mahanga may not have persuaded the judges to turn their chairs on Tuesday's episode of The Voice, but she received something very special - an invitation to see superstar Jessica Mauboy in concert.

The 15-year-old Tuggeranong school girl got a rousing reception from the audience as she performed Beyonce's Freedom in a blind audition for the judges, Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Mauboy

A proud Wiradjuri girl originally from Condobolin, Tahalianna told Mauboy her performance was for "my people, my mob".

Mauboy was clearly moved, telling Tahalianna "sista, you're 15-years-old".

"Literally, I just want to encourage you to come back. And in saying that, I want to invite you as a guest to my concert," Mauboy said. Including backstage passes for her and her family where they could talk music.

Tahalianna was moved to tears.

Rita Ora also told Tahalianna after her performance that was "something you should really be proud of".

While Guy Sebsatian said it was never easy to say no and "we know what's gone into that performance".

Tahalianna has not given up on her dream to be a performer.

"When I first started performing, I just fell in love with it and I knew then that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life," she said.
