Whenever he steps onto an NFL field, T.J. Watt is immediately one of the best players at that stadium. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year and perennial All-Pro routinely finds a way to overwhelm even the most elite offensive lineman — sometimes with seemingly little effort.
Suffice to say, as one of the world’s top professional athletes; Watt isn’t used to someone beating him in football or, really, anything athletic.
Watt and two of his Steelers teammates — Minkah Fitzpatrick and Alex Highsmith — got a rude awakening on this front not long ago.
During a friendly pickleball game, a competitive mom wiped the floor with Watt and Co. all over the court:
My mom whooped some Steelers in pickleball today lol pic.twitter.com/FoHbGXCGtu

Incredible. Pay special attention to the confident “whooped” and how she refers to Fitzpatrick — one of football’s finest defenders — as “the guy in the green shirt.” What confidence. I guess to this mom, Fitzpatrick just happened to be in her way.
As Watt hilariously told it in the aftermath — the mom brought the thunder with her racket:
Meg was serving the HEAT. We had trouble all day. https://t.co/iemtZDRbuW

Don’t mess with moms, especially but not limited to pickleball.
