T.J. Hockenson sends a warm farewell to Detroit after his trade

Now that T.J. Hockenson has been traded to the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions fans used to cheering for the tight end will have to root against him. Even so, Hockenson showed his gratitude to the Detroit fans in a warm social media post shortly after he was traded on Tuesday.

In an Instagram post, the tight end thanked the fans and the Lions coaches for his three-plus seasons in Detroit.

“Detroit, I can’t tell you how appreciative I am to this city and fan base for accepting me and my family from the start. All the teammates and coaches that I’ve been w/ here have helped me every step of the way,” Hockenson wrote.
