Sylvester Stallone is well recognised for being a bit of an action man in the Rocky movie franchise or Rambo.
But even by the 74-year-old's standards the latest throwback picture he has shared to his Instagram account is rather impressive.
The actor can be seen pressing a man above his head when he was 19.
And fans were quick to quip the shot reminded them of Hulk Hogan's character Thunderlips in the 1982 movie Rocky III.
The young topless Stallone may not have had the same bulging biceps back then as he showcased in his hit movie franchises but he was clearly well on his way to building up his power.
Alongside the image, Sly wrote: "A good friend sent me this old photo from when I was 19 years old. Funny, when I couldn’t go to a gym I would lift anything just to work out! Crazy right?
The Rambo star has recently told his followers on social media that he has cut back on his weightlifting sessions.
Instead he has replaced them with elastic band workouts to help ease the pressure on his knees and joints.
A little over a decade after this snap was taken the actor eventually got his big break.
In 1976, a 30-year-old Stallone finally had success when he wrote and starred in the first Rocky film.
The boxing movie since became an iconic production as the fictional struggling boxer went on to conquer the world.
Sly is the only actor in the history of US cinema to have been in a star in a number one box office film five decades in a row thanks to his Rocky Balboa character among others.
His most recent films include Creed II in 2018 and Rambo: Last Blood a year later.
Despite passing retirement age several years ago, Sly still completes his own stunts in films he stars in.
It's expected that two new movies starring the Hollywood icon will drop later this year.
