Sydney Sweeney Excited To Play 'Crazier' Cassie In Euphoria Season

Sydney Sweeney wants her Euphoria character to be even 'crazier' next season

As fans eagerly anticipate the next season of the hit HBO series Euphoria, lead actor Sydney Sweeney has hinted at exciting developments for her character, Cassie Howard.

Sweeney, who has gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Cassie, expressed her enthusiasm for reprising the role and reuniting with her Euphoria family, including co-stars Zendaya and Hunter Schafer.

Speaking to People magazine, Sweeney shared her eagerness to delve deeper into Cassie's character, stating, “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me, and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it.”

Notably, Sweeney disclosed her desire for Cassie to exhibit even more erratic behavior in the upcoming season, suggesting that she enjoys portraying the character's wild side. With Cassie's storyline hinting at seeking revenge on her sister Lexi, fans can anticipate a heightened level of drama and intensity.

Despite her excitement for the new season, Sweeney admitted to being kept in the dark regarding the plot details, stating, “Honestly, I don't know anything about it.”

Furthermore, the upcoming season of Euphoria will mark a significant change with the absence of actor Angus Cloud, known for his role as Fezco. Cloud tragically passed away from an accidental drug overdose in July 2023 at the age of 25, leaving a void in the ensemble cast.

As production gears up for the third and final season of Euphoria, fans can anticipate a rollercoaster of emotions and gripping narratives as the characters navigate through complex relationships and personal struggles.

Stay tuned for more updates on the highly-anticipated return of Euphoria and the evolution of Sydney Sweeney's character, Cassie Howard.
