Sydney Sweeney has been spotted hanging out with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell just days after reports began circulating that the 27-year-old called off her wedding with Jonathan Davino.
On Sunday (local time), gossip guru Deuxmoi shared images of the pair with friends at a Mexican restaurant called Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex in Dallas, Texas. According to insiders, the former co-stars were at the restaurant for the wedding rehearsal dinner for Glen’s sister Leslie Powell, and that Sydney was in town to attend the wedding the next day.
Although Sydney did attend the wedding, another source “with direct knowledge” told TMZ that she did not attend as Glen’s date and that the Euphoria star had RSVP’d to the wedding with her best friend months before the split with her fiancé.
The source claimed “[Sydney is] very good friends with the Powell family” and has been “very close” with Leslie for a “long time”.
Just last week, it was reported that Sydney and her fiancé, Jonathan, 41, had called off their wedding after experiencing “major issues”.
Speaking to Us Weekly, an insider revealed that the couple hadn’t completely split but it wasn’t looking too good.
“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” they claimed.
“Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Originally, Sydney and Jonathan had plans to marry this spring but her incredibly busy schedule made things difficult.
“Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress,” the insider said.
Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
The source noted that it was a difficult dynamic for Jonathan.
“Things are also always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project, and people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her co-stars,” they claimed.
The breakup rumours continued when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Sydney had deleted a sweet picture of her and Jonathan kissing on New Year’s Eve from a carousel post on Instagram
Sydney hasn’t commented on the status of her relationship with Jonathan. However, since being spotted with Glen, fans are now speculating that something romantic could be brewing between the two talented actors.
After all, back when they were promoting the Australian-based rom-com Anyone But You, the pair had some seriously sparkling chemistry.

Despite looking like a real life Ken and Barbie together, Sydney has previously set the record straight about her working relationship with Glen and her romantic relationship with Jonathan.
“The craziest rumour I’ve seen is that while I was filming Anyone But You, I was having an affair with my co-star Glen Powell,” she said on Saturday Night Live! in March 2024.
“That’s obviously not true. Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot. And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
While I wholeheartedly believe that was true at the time, a lot can change in 12 months. That’s all I’m saying.
