Sydney identity Vanessa Jacobs was refused bail on Friday night after allegedly assaulting a police officer after a two-vehicle crash in Bellevue Hill, NSW Police have confirmed.

At 7pm on Friday, emergency services were called to Riddell Street, Bellevue Hill, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Senior constable Ash Bold said officers from the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told an SUV had crashed into a parked Tesla.

“The driver of the SUV – a 54-year-old woman – was subject to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result and was arrested for the purposes of a breath analysis,” Bold said.

After the arrest, Jacobs allegedly assaulted a police officer and was taken to Waverley police station where she was charged with refusing to submit to breath analysis, assault of police in execution of duty and not giving her details to the owner of damaged property.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta local court on Sunday morning.

Jacobs was previously married to private equity investor Tom Fennell. She was reportedly shortlisted but unsuccessful at being cast in reality show Real Housewives of Sydney.
