Following an immense amount of global outrage, Sydney-based author and charity marketing executive Lauren Tesolin-Mastrosa has been arrested and charged over a fictional novel she allegedly wrote and published titled Daddy’s Little Toy.
Last Friday, 33-year-old Tesolin-Mastrosa — who writes under the pen name Tori Woods — was arrested and charged with possessing child abuse material, disseminating child abuse material, and producing child abuse material over allegations pertaining to her fictional novel.
Per The Daily Telegraph, Tesolin-Mastrosa’s book, Daddy’s Little Toy, follows an 18-year-old woman and a man who’s known her since she was a child, and is alleged to contain “graphic references to fantasising about a child”.
“About 12.30pm on Friday, detectives attended a home in Quakers Hill and arrested a 33-year-old woman before being taken to Riverstone police station,” a NSW Police spokeswoman told the publication.
“The woman was charged with possessing child abuse material, disseminating child abuse material, and producing child abuse material.
“She was granted conditional bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court on March 31.”

The spokeswoman added that authorities executed a search warrant in the western Sydney home and seized several hard copies of Daddy’s Little Toy for forensic examination.
Following news of the author’s arrest, Tesolin-Mastrosa was stood down from her executive position at BaptistCare, with a spokesperson confirming its conducting an internal investigation.
“We can confirm that we received complaints regarding an unnamed employee yesterday,” a spokeswoman told The Daily Telegraph.
“As a result of these complaints, the employee was stood down effective March 20 while we undertake an internal investigation.
“BaptistCare takes matters of ethical conduct seriously. Our focus remains on upholding the values and integrity of our organisation.”
Tori Woods’ Daddy’s Little Toy sparks global outrage on social media
Prior to Tesolin-Mastrosa’s arrest, some readers took to social media to blast the novel, accusing the author of promoting pedophilia.

In response to the outrage, Mastrosa released a statement on her pen name’s now-deleted Instagram, describing the complaints as a “huge misunderstanding”.
“DLT is DEFINITELY NOT promoting or inciting anything EVER to do with [child sexual abuse] or pedophilia,” she wrote.
“What is being said is grossly disturbing and breaks my heart as well as makes me sick.”

All of Tesolin-Mastrosa’s social media accounts — including the ones under her pen name — have been deactivated following the author’s arrest on Friday.
She is expected to appear at Blacktown Local Court on March 31. The book has been removed from sale.
