One man was rescued from a flat on the 10th floor via an internal staircase, according to LFB. He is currently being treated by London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics.
Local residents were advised to close their windows and doors as the fire sent huge pillars of smoke billowing through the air.
Drone footage posted to social media shows the tenth floor of the apartment completely alight, with clouds of black smoke rising into the air.
The fire was brought under control by 5.16pm, but firefighters will remain at the scene extinguishing hotspots.
Road closures remain in place and people are asked to avoid the area.
Crews from Forest Hill, Beckenham, West Norwood, Bromley and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
