Sweet Female Attitude brighten up January with free flowers and coffee in London

They’ll bring you flowers … and coffee … and maybe a free bag.

Garage favourites Sweet Female Attitude are delivering on their 2001 hit single Flowers and doing their best to brighten up the lives of Londoners as peak January blues hit.

Londoners will on Wednesday be rewarded with a surprise performance from lead singer Leanne Brown performing the cult classic, which is 25 years old this year.

The group has teamed up with Amex Gold to unveil a new billboard, which is one of four You Do You, London boards encouraging people in the capital to treat themselves every once in a while.

After the performance the group will attempt to brighten a dull January morning by handing out free bouquets.

Amex Gold is handing out the locally supplied gifts on Wednesday and Thursday, based on what Amex Gold Card members spent more in a borough than in other boroughs within the last year.

Leanne Brown, lead singer of Sweet Female Attitude, said: “It’s incredible to think that Flowers has been putting smiles on faces for 25 years and I love how much the lyrics still resonate with fans even today.

“I was delighted to work with Amex Gold to reward Londoners and I hope that our performance was able to offer some joy to brighten up your January. Make sure that you head down to pick up your free bouquet of flowers.”

Dave Edwards from Amex said: “These billboards and our partnership with Sweet Female Attitude are all part of our drive to give Amex Gold Card members more of the things they love and reward them for their everyday spend. Londoners can head down to the billboard to pick up a free bouquet – and should keep their eyes peeled for the other billboards across the capital.”
