What's there this year?
Ice skating returns to Waterfront Winterland this year, with the ever popular covered rink now being accompanied by the new 'Ice Walk' which meanders through the trees, brand new for 2021.
Skaters will have access to both during their skating sessions, and to celebrate the Ice Walk coming to Swansea, visitors can enjoy a 2-4-1 skating session between 1pm and 4pm every Monday to Thursday, until December 16. Accessible skating sessions will also be available every Tuesday.

The Alpine Village will be returning this year, with an extended area to enjoy festive food and drink, socialise, and soak up the festivities. Guests can enjoy the Alpine Bar at the site.
There will be family fun fair attractions, including the 33m Observation Wheel, which has become synonymous with the Waterfront Winterland. Other rides will include the Grinch Ghost Train, Extreme Ice for the thrill seekers, and the ever popular Snow Storm.
Ride tokens cost £1 each and can be bought from the token booths on site. Token booths will close 15 minutes before site closing time each evening.
Food and drink

In the newly extended Alpine Village you can treat yourself to something sweet at the Coffee Hut, which will be serving donuts, crepes, and hot chocolates. Or you can warm yourself up at the marshmallow toasting pits.
There will be a Loaded Fries unit, serving topped skin-on fries with all the extras, the perfect accompaniment to the fully loaded burgers. All vendors have vegetarian options, including the festive carvery, which will serve all the festive favourites in a Yorkshire pudding accompanied by a side of fresh, hot roast potatoes.
Covid safety measures
The operators of the Waterfront Winterland say their priority remains the health and safety of their staff and visitors, and they say they are working closely with local authorities to implement all the necessary safety measures to ensure visitors have the best festive experience. You can expect more space for social distancing, sanitiser stations throughout the site, and enhanced cleaning procedures.
Ice skating costs £10.50 for adults, £8 for children, £9 for students and £32 for families (admits four, two adults and two children, or one adult and three children.) Adult and carer tickets cost £10.50, and child skater with adult carer tickets cost £8. A 'skate aid penguin' costs £5. Each of the tickets have an added booking fee. They can be booked by clicking here.
