An indoor and outdoor carting track is to be installed at a popular family favourite destination in the Gower.
Perriswood Archery and Falconry Centre is expanding its family entertainment offering of archery, air rifles, bird of prey displays and airsoft shooting with carting.
Children aged 4-12 years will be able to get behind the wheel as the centre invests in creating what it hopes will be the perfect day out for all ages. Plans are still being finalised, but the new attraction is set to be introduced at Easter, accompanied by the return of Perriswood's famous 'Golden Shot' competition.

The family-run business, located at Perriswood Farm on the A4118 south Gower road between Nicholaston and Oxwich, acknowledged the past few months had been "extremely difficult" financially as they'd had to navigate through Covid and bird flu. Despite these obstacles, they have committed to maintaining their activity prices for the coming year, instead of raising them - arguing, "families need it". "We're a family run business and other families mean so much to us, we feel they need as much as possible to return to normalcy and we hope that in turn that helps us" said Brian Williams, owner. "We wanted to just offer an alternative activity for the younger customers, give them something different and let them have a go".
He added: "It has been an absolutely horrific two years and we are still being affected by that, it hasn't been easy but we have got a bit more confidence in where we are today and that is why we have chosen to invest, it's the perfect time for us to try and help families return to normal." The 'Golden Shot' was an opportunity to win a solid gold ring if the archer landed a perfect shot into a tiny wedding ring circle on a target. Now it's marking it's return with a new prize; a golden sovereign coin sponsored by 'Cash4Gold', worth £160, increasing to £320 if the customer is able to repeat the wondrous shot a second time.
"We have had people from 13 years ago come back to us the other day still wearing theirs to this day, it's great to be able to bring that back. We are operating the coming year at a far bigger cost but we just can't possibly put that on other families, we made the decision as a family-run business to not put our prices up - we want to help" added Brian.
