Back for the first time in two years, the Swansea Comic and Gaming Convention is bigger and better than ever before. The convention will have an extra day for 2022 and will take place at the new Swansea Arena- you can take a look at the arena here.
For the past two years the convention has had to take place online due to the coronavirus pandemic but this year it is back to physical events over two days. The convention will take place at Swansea Arena from Saturday, April 9 to Sunday, April, 10 .
There will be creators and guests including comic book creator John Wagner, comedian, actor, writer, and musician Nigel Planer, and artist and illustrator Karl Jones. Exhibitors and traders will include Billacookie, a small artist from south Wales specialising in Chinese Danmei/Wuxia content, Coco Bean a Swansea-based chocolate brownie baker, and The Crazy Baker, a family-owned bakery in Swansea which you can read more about here.

Throughout both days there will be guest panels and there is a cosplay competition, so you can come dressed up as your favourite character. The convention will start at 10am and finish at 6pm on both days and there are still tickets available to buy.
The last date to buy tickets online is Thursday, March, 31st and after that you can buy tickets at the door on the day. Prices start at £10 for a day ticket and £15 for both days. Children aged under five also go free. A portion of the ticket fee will go to charity, this year to Hafal a charity supporting people with mental health illnesses.
Previously the Swansea Comic and Gaming Convention have raised more than £3,000 for their chosen charity and if you want to keep up-to-date with What's On news you can sign up to our newsletter here.
