Swansea City vs Bristol City ratings as rock puts in wonderful display and star gets standing ovation

ANDY FISHER 8

Very impressive with the ball at his feet throughout and dealt with the long-distance attempts Bristol City had with ease. Kept a clean sheet, Swansea's first of 2023, to cap off a fine day. Great response from the goalkeeper after a tough spell.

HARRY DARLING 8

Got forward well time and time again which helped those in front of him. Brilliant in the air too. Good shift from right-back again.

BEN CABANGO 8

Made stacks of clearances and looked remarkably confident on the ball, playing his part in a fine defensive effort while also doing so much work to keep the Swans in control for prolonged spells.

NATHAN WOOD - Star Man 8

What a wonderful display. The summer signing's reading of the game was superb, with Wood making several timely interceptions while he fully demonstrated his ability on the ball.

RYAN MANNING 8

The Irishman put in numerous teasing crosses from the left while he was very solid defensively, making a number of important tackles.

MATT GRIMES 7

Conceded a few sloppy fouls early on but chipped in with some timely challenges and always showed his usual willingness to influence things in possession.

LUKE CUNDLE 7

Did heaps of defensive work, making nuermous tackles while he was generally neat in possession too. Subbed.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 8

Some good driving runs to get his side up the pitch and showed great control with his back before playing a no-look pass for Liam Cullen's opener. Took his goal ever so well to seal a fine win for his side. Withdrawn to a standing ovation.

LIAM WALSH 8

Lining up against his former club, Walsh showed real grit out of possession and quality on the ball. Played his part with a fine floated long ball in the build-up to his side's opener and oozed class. Knew when to put in a challenge, too. Withdrawn.

JOEL PIROE 7

Drilled wide from a narrow angle inside the opening seconds while his link-up play was generally good while he did so much tracking back and defensive work from set-pieces.

LIAM CULLEN 7

Pressed from the front as ever and took his goal - his seventh of the campaign - extremely well. Earned applause from the Jack Army after being withdrawn early in the second half.
