Swansea City has unveiled its updated club crest for the upcoming season.
The new crest is slightly modified from the one used last season, with the background colour changed to blue from black, and once again features a swan sitting atop the castle from the city's coat of arms.
The design is an updated version of the crest which the club used on jerseys between 1992 and 1997, and will feature on the club's home and away kits, as well as training gear.
Swansea used a slightly altered version of the crest last term as a way of paying homage to the club's promotion to the top flight in 1981, a feat widely considered one of the greatest achievements in the club's 109-year history.
At the time, the club labelled the move as an "acknowledgement and homage to a golden era in Swansea’s history with the likes of Alan Curtis, Robbie James, Leighton James, Wyndham Evans, Jeremy Charles and Nigel Stevenson among those to play starring roles in the early 1980s".
It has now been decided that the club will keep the crest for another season as Russell Martin prepares for his second season in charge.
