Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Wednesday, May 31.
Martin to Southampton held up by compensation clause
Russell Martin's move to Southampton has reportedly held up by an 'unusual' compensation issue.
Martin is understood to have already agreed to become the new man in charge at St Mary's, but there hasn't been any official confirmation of the move.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the delay has been because of a compensation clause in Martin's contract.
The report claims Martin has different figures in his contract when it comes to compensation to prise him away from the Swansea.com Stadium. One figure applies to Premier League clubs and another for Championship teams. The former is obviously higher than the latter, and with Southampton now being relegated from the top flight it seems the Saints are seeking to pay the lower amount.
The same report states there will be an extra fee thrown in for Martin's backroom staff, who will likely head with him with him to the Hampshire coast.
Rangers still keen on Whittaker
Rangers are reportedly still interested in Swansea City forward Morgan Whittaker.
However, the uncertainty over Swansea's managerial position looks to have put a roadblock on a potential summer move.
According to Football Scotland, Rangers are weighing up a fresh bid for the forward, having failed with three separate approaches in January.
Gers boss Michael Beale remains a big fan of Whittaker, as does Plymouth's Steven Schumacher, who has been tipped by some bookies as a potential replacement for the outgoing Russell Martin.
With Martin's exit still unconfirmed, the Swans are reluctant to green light any incomings, or indeed outgoings, until they can put together their own plans for a replacement, meaning any move for Whittaker is likely to be put on ice - for the time being at least.
Duo expected to leave
Ryan Manning and Joel Latibeaudiere are not expected to sign new deals at Swansea City.
Both players are contracted to the club until the end of next month, and despite some previous optimism over possible extensions, it's understood there is now little chance of either player staying on.
Manning has been linked with a move to newly-relegated Leeds United this month, and the Swans have seemingly admitted defeat in their bid to try and tie him down to a new contract.
Latibeaudiere, who was a favourite under outgoing boss Russell Martin, is also expected to depart at the end of next month.
Meanwhile, Kyle Naughton's situation remains up in the air, and it's not entirely beyond the realms of possibility that he may end up staying. However, at the time of writing there is no sign of any fresh agreement.
Swansea's pre-season plans continue to take shape
Swansea City are set to take on Reading on July 29 as part of their pre-season plans.
The Swans will travel to the Select Car Leasing Stadium as part of their preparations for the new season.
The trip to Berkshire will follow up a trip to Oxford United on the July 21.
Despite ongoing uncertainty around the managerial situation, pre-season plans are clearly falling into place at SA1.
There's likely to be at least one more game announced in due course, while there may be several others held behind closed doors.
The players are set to head overseas for a training camp, although the exact details of that trip are still being finalised.
