Garrick 'keen' for Pilgrims return
Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher says Jordon Garrick is keen to return to the club following his loan spell from Swansea.
The attacker spent the duration of the 2021/22 campaign on loan with the Pilgrims and netted seven goals during his 50 appearances for the club. He has just one year left to run on his Swansea contract, and it's understood the club are willing to let him leave this summer. You can read more on that here.
And Plymouth head coach Schumacher says he is eager to be re-united with the 23-year-old. "[Ryan] Broomy and Jordon, who have been here all season, have loved it. They have been part of the group. They didn't feel like a loan player," he told PlymouthLive.
"They felt like our players. Sometimes that's not easy. Straight away they settled in, they both enjoyed the area, they both would love to come back.
"And, again, I would love to work with them in the future. Whether that's going to happen immediately, we will have to wait and see."
Potter revived my Swans career - Grimes
Matt Grimes has thanked Graham Potter for reviving his Swansea City career.
The central midfielder had spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Northampton Town when the Swans were relegated from the Premier League. Potter was the man tasked with the enormous rebuilding project at the club in their first season back in the Championship since the 2010/11 campaign.
Grimes swiftly established himself as a key figure under current Brighton boss Potter - who had just one term with the Swans before moving to the south coast of England. And Grimes says he thought his Swansea career was over following his loan spells with Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Northampton.
"He gave me my opportunity," the captain told the Swansea website. "I personally didn't think that I would play for Swansea. I'd played about five games and I was thinking I would move on having played single figures for games.
"I ended up playing about 50 games for him that season. He believed in me, he gave me an opportunity. I owe a lot to him for almost reviving my Swansea career. I still talk to him on the odd occasion and obviously he's doing a brilliant job at Brighton. He's very influential."
Grimes recently chalked up 200 appearances for the Swans and signed a new contract with the club in November. His current deal with Russell Martin's side runs through until the summer of 2025.

Cabango surgery a success
Ben Cabango has successfully undergone surgery to repair his ankle.
The defender was left injured after being on the receiving end of a firm challenge from former Swan Jamal Lowe during his side's 3-3 draw with Bournemouth last month. Cabango was unable to feature in Swansea's final two matches of the campaign against Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers as a result while he will miss Wales' five June fixtures - including the World Cup play-off final against either Scotland or Ukraine.
And Cabango is expected to resume full training before the start of the 2022/23 season.
"It doesn't change the time scale at all," said Martin on the academy product's expected return date following the operation. "Rather than leave it, they've decided to operate on it now in case we leave it and he needs one further down the line.
"He'll be back for halfway through pre-season I would have thought. I expect him to be fit for in and around the first game."

Manning reveals 22/23 season aim
Ryan Manning believes Swansea should be targeting a top 10 finish at the very least next season.
The Swans finished 15th in their debut campaign under Russell Martin after collecting 61 points. Their pre-season was heavily disrupted due to the late exit of Steve Cooper combined with a significant squad turnover and Covid-19 issues.
But with a full pre-season in the tank this summer, Republic of Ireland international Manning believes Swansea should have the play-offs in their sights next term.
"I think with a good pre-season behind us after a year of this philosophy and understanding how the manager wants us to play, I think that’s going to be crucial to get a good start," he told the club website.
“The slow start killed us this year, because we finished quite brightly. So pre-season will be massive. I think we have to be looking for play-offs next season, or top 10 at least.
"With the squad we have, the way we play, the games we’ve dominated this season but not got our rewards out of, we know If we eradicate the mistakes and take advantage when we’re on top, we can turn draws and losses into more points.”
The fixtures for the 2022/23 season will be released on Thursday, June 23.
