Swansea City are targeting a late transfer deadline day swoop for Shrewsbury Town defender Nathaneal Ogbeta.
The Swans have been determined to add a left wing-back to their ranks since allowing Jake Bidwell to join Coventry City earlier this month.
It's understood they submitted a bid for ex-Manchester City starlet Ogbeta last week - with Shrewsbury rejecting that offer.
And WalesOnline understands the Swans have made once again contacted the League One club about the 20-year-old late on in the January window.
Ogbeta spent a decade in the Citizens' academy, working under Swansea's current sporting director Mark Allen.
Swansea have also been keen to bring in a forward on deadline day, although they have been left frustrated after failing to land their targets.
Bristol City's Nahki Wells was on the Swans' wish list, although the Robins were reluctant to let the forward leave Ashton Gate.
The winter deadline is at 11pm tonight.
