With the summer transfer window just around the corner, Swansea City's scouts will be identifying potential targets as they look to bolster the squad for the 2023/24 campaign.
Ahead of the current season, Swansea made seven first-team signings. Three players joined the club on a permanent basis while four linked up on loan.
Here’s how all of Swansea’s summer signings have fared since joining the club.
Nathan Wood
The 20-year-old central defender has proved to be a revelation since joining the club from Middlesbrough last season. The 2021/22 campaign proved to be a frustrating one for Wood; he was sent on loan to Hibernian where he made just one appearance before failing to make a Championship appearance at Boro after his loan ended in November 2021.
Wood has become a mainstay at the back since joining Swansea last June and has grown in ability as the season’s gone on. Wood’s impressive form for the Swans saw him called into the England U-21 squad and he made his debut for the Three Lions against Croatia last month. His displays have seen big-hitters Arsenal and Tottenham monitor his future, with head coach Russell Martin keen for the club to reward him with improved terms.

Harry Darling
The 23-year-old centre-back joined the Swans after a fantastic season at League One level with MK Dons. Darling was named in the League One team of the season and PFA Team of the Year and Martin was clearly delighted to bring him to the club.
The defender has blown hot and cold this season, making 31 appearances so far. After a spell out of the team, Darling has come back into the side featuring at right-back. His return to the side has coincided with Swansea’s form improving but Darling hasn’t quite been able to cement himself as first choice in his usual centre-back berth.

Matty Sorinola
Sorinola became Swansea’s first loan signing of the season when he joined from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise and reunited with his former boss Martin.
Sorinola was a mainstay in Swansea’s team at the start of the campaign but has found minutes a lot harder to come by in the second half of the season. He has missed out altogether on the last three matchday squads and hasn’t started a game since March 11.

Joe Allen
Swans legend Allen returned to SA1 last July after 10 years away from the club. Things haven’t quite gone to plan for the Carmarthenshire product, with injuries blighting his return.
The 33-year-old has only made 16 starts for his club in the league so far this term. When Allen has played his obviously quality has shone through but Martin will be hoping he can show it on a more regular basis next season when fully fit.
Verdict - Jury’s out
Luke Cundle
The Wolves youngster has been a success story for the Swans since joining on loan in August. The 20-year-old is a regular starter in Martin’s team and is always neat and tidy in the centre of the park.
Given Cundle’s relative inexperience at senior level he’s adapted well to the rigours of Championship football, making 30 appearances in all competitions for Swansea this season. Wolves have got a gem here.

Armstrong Oko-Flex
The Republic of Ireland youth international joined the Swans on loan from West Ham United in August. He featured 13 times in the Championship during the first half of the term before he was recalled by the Hammers in January. He made just one start for the club, coming against Wigan in November and was replaced at half-time with the Swans 2-0 down.
Oko-Flex gave Swansea something different and was used as an impact sub if the team needed a goal. However, he only played 283 minutes, meaning he never got a chance to fully make his mark.

Fin Stevens
Welshman Stevens joined the club from Brentford but was never really afforded the opportunity in SA1. The 20-year-old full-back made just five appearances for the club during the first half of the season before he returned to the Bees in January.
Stevens played just 60 minutes' worth of football in a Swansea shirt, highlighting the lack of chances the young Welshman had.
