Swansea City have been linked with a move for former Club Brugge manager Carl Hoefkens.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claimed that Leicester City and the Swans have both approached the manager.
Swansea are searching for a new head coach in SA1, with Russell Martin set to join Southampton on a multi-year deal. A formal announcement has been stalled due to a dispute over the amount of compensation Swansea feel the Saints should pay them for his services.
Leicester City, meanwhile, are targeting a new manager after sacking Brendan Rogers in April after four years with the Foxes.
Hoefkens, 44, led Bruges to the knockout stages of the Champions League this season, winning a total of 15 from his 27 games at the helm in all competitions since taking over in May 2022.
In the statement announcing his departure in December, club CEO Vincent Mannaert said: "His part in this season's successful Champions League campaign cannot be underestimated either. Our choices last summer did not deliver the desired level of play and result in the Belgian league and the Belgian cup. We are now working on the best possible succession."
That was Hoefkens' only spell in management, having worked his way up through the Brugge ranks after joining the coaching staff in 2018.
