Swansea City duo attract late deadline day interest as Russell Martin's men push to sign ex-Man City defender

Liam Walsh and Jamie Paterson have attracted late transfer interest on deadline day.

Walsh - who joined the Swans as a free agent last summer - could potentially leave the club on loan while further clubs have made enquiries over Paterson's situation.

It comes as Swansea eye a late deadline day swoop for Shrewsbury Town defender Nathaneal Ogbeta.

The Swans have been determined to add a left wing-back to their ranks having allowed Jake Bidwell to join Coventry City earlier this month.

And they believe a sum worth around £300,000 would be enough to secure the services of ex-Manchester City youngster Ogbeta.

Yan Dhanda is now expected to remain at Swansea, despite the fact head coach Russell Martin recently revealed the attacker was close to securing a loan exit from the club.

The Swans - with little more than two hours remaining until Monday's 11pm deadline - expect to keep hold of Jamie Paterson.

They have rejected three bids from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers for the services of the 30-year-old - who is under contract at Swansea until the summer of 2023.
