Swansea City remain unlikely to bring in reinforcements on deadline day unless a key player leaves the club.
Michael Obafemi is attracting interest from Championship rivals Burnley, although the Clarets have fallen way short of Swansea's valuation of the Republic of Ireland international.
They could yet improve on their offer, although a significant hike would be needed for the 22-year-old to secure a switch to Turf Moor.
LIVE UPDATES: Swansea City transfer deadline day
Should a move materialise, Swansea would be eager to re-invest a small portion of the sum generated into the playing squad.
When asked after the 1-1 draw with Stoke City if he was keen to keep Obafemi, Russell Martin responded: "Of course, we want to keep every player we've got now. We haven't got a huge squad. We want to try and keep everyone in the building if we can.
"I'm the head coach, it's not my decision. I coach the team, I love the players we work with, any decision that gets made on that is totally outside of my remit, as is the same with any player. The same as the guys who might go on loan or might not."
Chiedozie Ogbene remains an option, although Rotherham United are highly reluctant to let the versatile attacker - who is now in the final year of his contract with the Millers - leave this month.
Swansea have also shown an interest in Cody Drameh. However, sources in Leeds suggest the youngster is now likely to stay at Elland Road.
It all points to a fairly uneventful deadline day for Russell Martin's men, providing that Obafemi stays in south Wales.
Fringe players including Nathanael Ogbeta and Brandon Cooper appear destined to remain with the Swans, as is the case for out-of-favour defender Ryan Bennett.
The transfer window shuts at 11pm tonight.
