Swansea Bay Pop Up: Menus, prices and everything else you need to know about the Singleton Park attraction

Swansea Bay Pop Up is officially back in business, with the popular outdoor dining event returning to Singleton Park for a second year running.

Housed under a giant big top tent, it officially launched on April 30 and will be around for at least the next two months. The idea is simple. Food vendor vans from some of the city's most popular brands surround the tent, and people are seated at socially distanced tables. Once sat down, they can use a mobile phone app to place their order, and their food will be brought to them.

Choices range from authentic Portuguese charcoal grills, wood-fired pizza, Indian street flavours, Bao buns, Asian-fusion and tapas to cake, brownies and ice cream. Gower Brewery, Peppermint, Brewstone, Frango, Brewdog Swansea and Bambu are returning this year, along with the new additions of Bucking Burrito, a 100% plant based burritos and nachos restaurant, Rasoi, an award-winning Indian fusion restaurant, Yosei, modern Japanese inspired cuisine, and Get Caked, which specialises in sweet treats.

Speaking of the chance to be there this year, Suki Kullar, owner of Rasoi said: "It's a great opportunity, really good. It's something different for us and we're slowly adapting to it."

Owner of Bucking Burrito, Ben Toman added: "It's been mental, and we had so much business on the first night - probably a week's worth within just a day. It's really exciting and it's nice to be around people again."

Founder and chief executive of Creative Hospitality Group, Bruno Nunes, spoke of his joy at bringing the event back. He said: "I felt this year people had this huge fatigue of lockdown. Everyone is just drained really and needing something. It has returned at the right time. There is a real happy positive vibe. This year we have improved the decking and the entrance system, and introduced new restaurants to the line-up.

"We were hoping to bring in a funfair this time for the children to enjoy, along with having live music, but with regulations the way it is, we're holding off on that idea for now."

We paid a visit to Singleton Park to check out exactly what is on offer at this year's pop-up event and the prices you can expect to pay.
