Swanky new coffee and cocktails venue opens in historic building on Castle Street

A swanky new coffee and cocktails venue has opened in a beautiful building on Castle Street in Liverpool's city centre.

Liverpool is no stranger to independent hospitality venues, with locals and tourists alike spoilt for choice when venturing into the centre and surrounding areas. New to the roster of stylish and quirky venues is Co.Co.

Co.Co serves specialty coffee and pastries from local independent bakers during the day, before offering an impressive selection of cocktails by night. It's open now on Castle Street, just a stone's throw away from the stunning Town Hall.

Co.Co. serves specialty coffee from 10am, including coffee shop favourites like flat whites, cappuccino, latte, macchiato, mocha, Americano and more. There's also a selection of decadent and tasty fresh pastries from local independent bakers, including Butterholic's ever popular croissants and cruffins.

The venue will be open seven days a week and by night, it'll seamlessly transform into a relaxed bar setting. Expertly made cocktails will be available, including beloved classics like Pornstar Martinis, Cosmopolitans, Espresso Martinis, Mai Tais and Daiquiris, while those craving a different kind of tipple can choose from its fully stocked bar of spirits, beers and wines.

It's a beautiful space, offering an upmarket escape from the hustle and bustle. Co.Co. has transformed the former William Hill on Castle Street, and has been kitted out with plush half moon booths, exposed brick walls, a range of high and low seating, and atmospheric lighting.

Co.Co is complete with a neon sign that reads, 'Late Nights, Early Mornings'. Table service is available, and those on the hunt for another festive space to relax in will enjoy the elaborate Christmas decorations currently on display at Co.Co. There's two impressive Christmas trees, as well as garlands dressing the huge arched windows and door frame.

Joseph Goulden, day manager at Co.Co, said: "Co.Co will be a welcome addition to Castle Street, bringing a day-to-night venue to one of the city's most renowned culinary and drinking hotspots. Offering quality coffee, delicious pastries and brunch cocktails during the day, Co.Co will then transform into a bar with a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere during the evening.

"Myself and the team have worked hard to perfect Co.Co's offering with local suppliers and we're incredibly excited to welcome our first guests from this Saturday 26th November when we open our doors for the first time."

Sam Preston, bar manager, added: "At Co.Co, we aim to provide a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee in beautiful surroundings. The team has sensitively transformed the building, adding life and excitement into the venue whilst honouring its unique characteristics that are etched in the historical building.

"By day, guests can work from Co.Co with a coffee and pastry to hand, and by night, the venue will transition so that couples, groups of friends and colleagues can take to the bar for an expertly created cocktail in sophisticated surroundings."

Co.Co. is open for walk-ins as well as bookings, which can be made via Instagram through direct message. It's based at 48 Castle Street, Liverpool, L2 7LQ.
