St Johnstone have confirmed the signing of Sven Sprangler on a two-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 28-year-old moves to Perth after being released by Austrian side SK Vorwärts Steyr.
Midfielder Sprangler previously made over 50 appearances for Wolfsberger and played in Europe five times for the top-flight Austrian side, testing himself against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur.
Sprangler spoke of his delight after signing for Saints, he said: "This is one of the happiest days of my life. It is a dream come true to join a team in Scotland.
"The people in Scotland treat football like a religion, just like me. I am an aggressive player but I also like to try and play football.
"Coming to Scotland is the perfect next step in my career."
Steven MacLean spoke about his new signing, adding: "Sven is a great addition to our squad. He has come in on trial and impressed everyone.
"Sven is a strong midfielder who likes a tackle but can also get on the ball and play at the same time."
