Suzanne Jackson's new dog lost one of her eyes in a savage attack.
The businesswoman adopted Lola, a 2-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, from Wicklow Animal Welfare over the weekend. Suzanne shared the emotional footage of her collecting her new dog to her 300,000 Instagram followers.
Lola had suffered horrific abuse before being rescued, as the animal shelter staff explained to Suzanne she had been attacked by two other dogs, leading to the loss of one of her eyes. The tragic dog had wounds all over her neck and stomach following the ordeal, staff revealed.

Suzanne explained: “She has loads of sisters who love her already! Her story is really sad. She lost an eye, she was attacked by two other dogs for food, she was used for breeding. This is her second chance to have a home.”
Suzanne already owns three dogs with her husband Dylan, named Coco, Harper, and Pixie. The name Lola was inspired by both the dog’s tragic backstory as well as Suzanne and Dylan’s time spent in Portugal.
The 38-year-old explained that the name is closely linked to ‘Olha’, the Portuguese word for ‘eye.’ The couple first moved to the Iberian Peninsula over the summer, although their plans to spend at least six months away were thwarted after their dog Coco fell ill.
The SoSueMe founder also revealed she was donating €10,000 to Wicklow Animal Welfare. She also finished the video with an appeal asking for people to adopt or foster canine companions this Christmas, instead of buying.
The businesswoman decided to take a step back from her cosmetics empire in the summer and resigned as CEO of her SoSu brand. She said at the time that her skillset meant that the company, first founded in 2015, would prevent the business from moving forward.
