Police are appealing for the identity of suspects in relation to a grass fire. The "substantial" fire was lit on Tuesday, April 18 behind Railway Terrace in Caerau, Maesteg.
South Wales Police shared a photo appearing to show at least five figures alongside a separate photo of the fire itself which police believe was lit between 7pm and 8pm. The fire was extinguished within just 10 metres of some houses and used up "a lot of Fire Service resources."
Sergeant Richard Lee said: “We have made a commitment to investigate every report of fires in the area and people captured who were in the vicinity of the fire when it was started and are believed to be responsible.

"The images were taken from a distance however we are appealing for information on who they are as some of the clothing is quite distinctive.
"We would also like to reinforce to local residents how dangerous these fires are and the risk that they pose to the local community. We would urge every incident to be reported to South Wales Police so that we can investigate them.”
