A teenager is recovering in hospital after being shot at a home in Melbourne's outer west, with police investigating possible gang links.
The 18-year-old was shot in the upper body at an Orlando Drive home in Truganina on Thursday afternoon and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made but investigators believe at least two males were involved in the shooting and fled on foot.
Police believe the shooting was targeted but the exact circumstances are unclear, with detectives from the Gang Crime Squad called in to investigate.
No one else was home at the time.
