Merseyside Police have made arrests and located drugs and weapons after a period of action in the Sefton area.
Uniformed police officers have been continually conducting open land searches across the borough to search for hidden items. Last week officers recovered a metal pole hidden in overgrowth after searching Hapsford Road Park and Bowersdale Park in Bootle.
On Thursday December 8, officers stopped a motorbike rider with a suspected stolen BMW motorbike on Hampton Road, Southport.
Following a search the 28-year-old man was found in possession of 20 wraps of white powder and more than £1,000 in cash.

Following a further search of his property, officers recovered a large quantity of suspected drugs and he was arrested on suspicion with intent to supply drugs and theft of a motor vehicle.
Adam Roberts, 28 years, of Roe Lane, Southport was charged with being in possession with intent to supply Class A, B and C drugs (cocaine, MDMA, ketamine anabolic steroids), and conceal/disguise/covert/transfer/remove criminal property. He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on January 9.
On Friday December 9, officers stopped a Ford Transit van on Bedford Road, Bootle and following a search officers recovered a torch baton. The driver was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including being in possession of offensive weapon in a public place.
Michael Patrick Dursham, 38 years, of Hawkshead Avenue, West Derby was charged with possession of offensive weapon in a public place. He has been bailed and is due to appear in court at a later date.
Chief Inspector Tracie Trubshaw said: “This was a successful few days of action carried out by officers to disrupt criminality in Sefton by recovering offensive weapons that could have caused harm to others and a large quantity of drugs have been taken off our streets.
“The operation supports the work we do every day of the year to tackle offending in our communities. Stop checks warrants, land searches and arrests take place all year round across Merseyside, often in those areas the public tell us there are issues.”
