Police have uncovered a suspected meth lab concealed in what they described as a "bunker" at a home in Adelaide's south.
A 48-year-old man will face court over the discovery at the Reynella East property, where police allegedly found the lab, drugs and manufacturing equipment.
SA Police said detectives from its Serious and Organised Crime Branch had spent two days dismantling the clandestine laboratory which was "located in a bunker" at the home.
Drugs including an opiate, cannabis and 10 kilograms of a substance believed to be methamphetamine were discovered along with equipment including hydroponic light shades, globes and empty pill casings, police said.
The 48-year-old man was arrested at the address and will face the Christies Beach Magistrates Court in June charged with trafficking in a controlled drug, possessing prescribed equipment and possessing cannabis.
Detective Chief Inspector Denise Gray said the scale of the drug lab, and others like it, posed risks to the public including neighbours.
"The danger in manufacturing illicit drugs using volatile and flammable ingredients in a confined space creates a highly dangerous situation," she said.
"This can include the release of toxic gases and explosions which can result in injury or death to the offenders and others in surrounding premises.
"It also creates significant risks to the Serious and Organised Crime Detectives when dismantling the clandestine laboratories."
Police have said investigations are continuing and said anyone with information on the manufacture, sale or supply of illegal drugs could report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
