Two people have been charged after a car was stopped on suspicion of having no insurance.
Merseyside police stopped an Audi travelling on the Knowsley Expressway, at 3pm on Thursday, October 13, on suspicion of having no insurance. After making the stop, officers searched the car and found suspected cocaine.

Patrick Campbell, 29, of no fixed abode has now been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin); and acquire/use/possess. Both will appear for sentencing on Monday, November 14, after pleading guilty at court on Saturday morning, 15 October.
A 36-year-old woman from Eccles, Greater Manchester was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. She has been released under investigation.
The investigation is part of the Merseyside Organised Crime Partnership (OCP), made up of a specialist team of officers from the National Crime Agency and Merseyside Police, which was launched in April 2021 to protect the public by tacking high-risk organised crime groups.
