A suspected cannabis farm has been uncovered at a property in Sunderland.
Suspicions were raised about the property on Allendale Road when it was reported that the electricity had been bypassed. Police attended the address and found a number of items within the property that connected to the supply of the illegal drug.
Equipment has been seized and the address has been made safe following the report to Northumbria Police on January 2. Officers have been returning to the property since the report to ensure it has been cleared.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "At around 12pm on January 2, police received information that an address on Allendale Road in Sunderland was being used as a suspected cannabis farm.
"Officers attended the address where it was reported that the electricity had been bypassed, and found a number of items within the property that connected to the supply of the illegal drug.
"The address was made safe and the equipment seized. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can contact police using the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website quoting crime number: 000569N/23."
