Suspect Urged Iran To Assassinate Former President Trump In Book

Former U.S. President Donald Trump holds a campaign rally in Hialeah

In a shocking turn of events, the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Trump has been revealed to have urged Iran to kill him in a self-published book. The book, titled 'Ukraine’s Unwinnable War' and published in 2023, contained alarming statements directed towards the former president.

According to sources, the suspect, identified as Routh, explicitly stated in the book, 'You are free to assassinate Trump,' in reference to Iran. Routh went on to criticize Trump, labeling him as a 'fool' and a 'buffoon' for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots and his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which he described as a 'tremendous blunder'.

Interestingly, Routh had initially been a supporter of Trump before his sentiments towards the former president took a drastic turn. This shift in allegiance culminated in the alarming assassination attempt that was foiled by the Secret Service.

The arrest of Routh occurred following the thwarted assassination attempt, which took place while Trump was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida. Routh was apprehended with an AK-47-style rifle in his possession, highlighting the seriousness of the situation and the potential threat that was narrowly avoided.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by individuals who harbor extreme views and resort to violence as a means of expressing their grievances. The swift action taken by the Secret Service undoubtedly prevented a tragedy and underscores the importance of vigilance in safeguarding the lives of public figures.
