Suspect named by police after van crashes into roundabout

Police have charged a man from Bromborough after a van collided with a roundabout in Bebington yesterday morning.

A man, 60, from Bromborough, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of drug driving after police received reports of a van colliding with a roundabout just off Broadway in Bebington at around 10.25am that morning. No injuries were caused by the collision though the driver was detained and taken to a police station.

Police have since named the suspect as Howard Evans, of Malcolm Cresent, Bromborough. And this morning they confirmed Evans has been charged with failure to provide a specimen.
