Suspect named after man smashed into jewellers with angle grinder

A man was charged after a jewellery shop owner was threatened with an angle grinder during a smash and grab.

Emergency services were called to a robbery at David Moss Jewellers in Ormskirk town centre on September 25 2020. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police confirmed the force had now charged a man with robbery in relation to the investigation. The suspect has been named as 47-year-old Brian Lambert.

Lambert, of Brandwood Road, Bacup, has been issued with a summons to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on December 1. Lancashire Police are still appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
