A man suspected of robbing a deliver driver's car at knifepoint was named by police.
At around 10.30pm on Thursday, April 28, police were called to reports a delivery driver had his black Vauxhall Astra stolen on Hastie Close, Netherley, at knife point. Just moments later, officers were called to reports of a crash on Netherley Road, at around 10.40pm.
Detectives found the stolen Vauxhall Astra had crashed into a sandstone pillar and a tree on Ox Lane in Tarbock Green. The driver, a man in his 20s, sustained major injuries and was taken to hospital. He is in a serious but stable condition.

Police have now charged a man in connection to the incident. Adam Challoner, of Bechers, Widnes, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. The 26-year-old, was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court this morning.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We have charged a man in connection with a robbery in Netherley. Adam Challoner, 26, of Bechers, Widnes, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
"He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Friday 20th May. The charges relate to an incident Hastie Close in Netherley on Thursday 28th April during which a food delivery driver was threatened with a knife and had his car stolen."
