Police have today named a man suspected of drug production after a property was searched over the weekend.
Over the weekend, a police cordon was seen in place surrounding a house in Halewood. Merseyside Police attended a property on Lonsdale Road, at around 1pm on Friday, October 14.
Officers entered the home and a search was carried out. A 38-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of drugs production.

He was taken into custody for questioning and a quantity of Class B drugs, amphetamine, and counterfeit £20 notes were recovered from the property. The cordon remained in place over the weekend while an investigation was carried out.

Anthony Copeman, 38, of Lonsdale Road has since been charged with producing amphetamine, two counts of import/acquire/possess/use a regulated substance without a licence, possession of a controlled Class B drug (amphetamine) and possession of counterfeit currency.
Copeman was to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, October 17.
